The genesis drop for this internationally exhibited multimedia artist invites us to a Lost Sanctuary.
Lost Sanctuary is a genesis NFT project by Humberto Díaz, with the collaboration of the 3D artist Victor Lopez and the composer René Rodriguez (realrocaestudio)
The piece represents an asteroid or floating island that is lost in the metaverse. This remote place hold a humpback whale that is living inside a giant metal and cocrete structure with a form that copy the shape of the cetacean. This architectural sculpture function at the same time as a home or as a cage for the whale. Beds of natural grass cover the structure, blending it with the surrounded landscape. This plants survive with the water provided by the whale that, from time to time, launches a jet of water. A small ecosystem in which every element has a key function in order to survive. A visual game is generated between the open and enclosed spaces, the inside and the outside, the freedom and the cloistered. Two totally different experiences, on the one hand, the hardness of the metallic skeleton inside, duplicated by the reflection of the water, and on the other, the aesthetic pleasure and softness of the green on the outside.
Lost Sanctuary hides an environmental message, in a dialogue with the whole conversation around the supervivence of species that inhabit the planet long before, even than us, and their subsistence in a metaverse that will probably supplant our physical existence as well.
All elements were created in 3DMax and have an original sound composition specially made for it.
